My Home is starting to come together!

Today my son-in-law and brother-in-law moved my big pieces of furniture back into place. The furniture is being positioned differently then it was before. I feel that by changing the layout, I am personalizing it as my own. It is definitely time for me.

It has been like forever since the hurricane hit and I have been camping out in my home ever since. Crazy!

Tomorrow I have a doctors appointment and then I will be showing in the afternoon.

I am anxious to get the detail pieces back into place. Some things I am not going to use anymore. One item can go on the patio, but the rest will be going in the garage to be given away. I am not going to keep my bakers rack, my replica 3 piece desk, a rod iron display stand, and a few other odds and ends.

Well, I better hit the hay. Tomorrow is a big day!

An Era Passed!

Well, I got back last night from Brownsville. My father-in-law's sister died. He had passed about a month ago on September 25th. They were the last two siblings in their families. None are left.

I was not welcome at my father-in-law's service. As much as it broke my heart not to be able to go, no one could stop me from going to Ninfa's service. As a matter of fact I was welcomed and spent a lot of time with my deceased husband's cousin's.

My brother and sister in law's acted like I did not exist at the viewing. I went along with it. Only one brother and sister in law went to the actual funeral. After the service I did give my condolences to them on the loss of his father and aunt and I shook his hand. Sad, to be so small.

Also, I got to visit his and Elvia's gravesite on this trip. I went by their old house also. I am very glad that to be home and extremely glad that I went.
